A spiritual practice really matters to our health, happiness, and wholeness. Spiritual Wellness is a personal matter involving values and beliefs that provide a purpose in our lives. While different individuals may have different views of what spiritualism is, it is generally considered to be the search for meaning and purpose in human existence, leading one to strive for a state of harmony with oneself and others while working to balance inner needs with the rest of the world.
Staying committed to a spiritual path can feel daunting at times. But we must understand that our bodies, minds, and souls are intertwined. Which is why my main focuses to live a wealthy life is; physical, spiritual, emotional, and financial – everything is connected!
The outside world gives us so many opportunities to avoid going inward. Work obligations, family responsibilities, and the never-ending to-do lists keep us from our path of personal growth.
But what we forget is that no matter how hectic our lives may seem, it’s our spiritual path that guides the way.
Making life easy and truly feeling your best is about far more than physical health; it’s also about having a healthy emotional life and a robust spiritual life. Studies show that having faith can actually improve your physical health! And it’s one of the best ways I know to live a happy and radiant life.
The only way to build the muscle of faith is to calm yourself and turn your trust over to a higher power. This requires patience and commitment.
Spirituality is an individual journey that often has little or nothing to do with religion. Meaning that the path we choose is our choice, whether we believe in Jesus, Buddha or some other organized religion or we take another approach and just believe their is a high power it doesn’t matter as long as we have faith and some kind of spiritual practice in place.
Knowing there is a Higher Power, one that is greater than I am, calms my spirit when I’m troubled. There is an infinite amount of healing energy available to us at all times through the Creator. The Creator goes by many names: Jesus, Allah, Adonai, Goddess, Source Energy—it really doesn’t matter which name you use. The point is that, regardless of your religion or spiritual practices, you can tap into this healing source at any time. Believing that the universe will rise up to support you when you can’t figure out the answer is incredibly reassuring – and trust me it works!

Based on his experiences he has created an amazing roadmap of Twelve Master Paths and Practices. This guide makes it easy to find one that most resonates with and supports us on our path. The twelve sacred paths are divided into four subdivisions: body-centered practices, such as ceremony and ritual, sacred movement, and sacred music and sound; mind-centered practices, such as prayer and meditation; heart-centered practices, such as the path of devotion and the path of sacred service; and finally, soul-centered practices, such as ascetics and other forms of self-discipline that lead to spiritual enlightenment.
The path to spiritual wellness may involve meditation, prayer, affirmations, or specific spiritual practices that support your connection to a higher power or belief system. Yoga and meditation can also help you develop spiritual wellness.
Another element that you can add to your spirituality toolbox is the law of Attraction. We can tap into our connection with the universe to create health, happiness, satisfying work, meaningful relationships, financial prosperity, and more. Speaking words or prayers out loud can change the vibrational patterns around you, which just might help you manifest your dream or desire with the help of the Law of Attraction. The ancients believed that the phrase “I AM” was a synonym for “the God within you.” A simple practice you can start doing today is to meditate regularly on the phrase “I am ____.”
Think about how many times you say “I am” in a day. Are you affirming what you want to bring into your life? Is it possible that your words are unknowingly cutting off your connection to healing energy?
Here are some I AM affirmations to experiment with:
I AM health, energy, and love.
I AM peace in times of stress. I AM inspired to find solutions to any problems.
I AM balanced in my body, spirit, and mind. I AM inspiring others to live in perfect health.
When you find yourself stressed, having low energy or ill it’s probably because you have lost connection to the Divine. What’s important is you can regain your health, prosperity, and equilibrium by connecting to the Creator to regain circulation to the healing energy.
What is the history of spirituality and health care?
In most healing traditions, and in the beginnings of Western medicine, concerns of the body and spirit were intertwined. But with the coming of the scientific revolution and enlightenment, these considerations were removed from the medical system. Today, however, a growing number of studies reveal that spirituality may play a bigger role in the healing process than the medical community previously thought.
How does spirituality impact health?
Spiritual practices tend to improve coping skills and social support, foster feelings of optimism and hope, promote healthy behavior, reduce feelings of depression and anxiety, and encourage a sense of relaxation. By alleviating stressful feelings and promoting healing ones, spirituality can positively influence immune, cardiovascular (heart and blood vessels), hormonal, and nervous systems.
